This application offers a no-frills approach to help you catalog your wine cellar.
Jeroboam has a simple interface, with buttons and a menu to access features, and an image of a wine bottle in a basket that is repeated dizzyingly across the rest of the screen. A large wine database and pull-down menus make it easy to add wines to your cellar and capture country, region, appellation, vintage, and price information.
There are only four options to rate your wine, from bad to very good, so details about smell, taste, and appearance will have to be added to the Remarks section. Label or bottle images also can be added to your record. You can add multiple cellars and can track wine inventory and consumption. A pairing tool provides suitable wine choices for an array of upscale dishes, from Beef Bourguignon to Venison.
The trial version limits you to 10 wine entries, but Jeroboam is suitable for any user looking for a simple cellar-management program.
Jeroboam is designed to help you manage your wine cellar and aid you in serving and pairing your best vintages. The program features tips on choosing and serving wines, tips on pairing wines with certain dishes, record-keeping tools for recording wines consumed, wine cellar management tools, and appellation database management.
