From Dreamscape Software :JPEGCompress is designed to help you compress any existing image. JPEGCompress is designed to help you compress any existing image. JPEGCompress can natively support JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, and many Unix/Linux image formats. You cab choose any level of compression and see the results immediately, allowing you to preview your images before saving them. You are also presented with the image's new file size and download time over a range of Internet connection types. JPEGCompress supports batch processing, Internet Explorer integration, printing, and can integrate with QuickTime to allow you to open, compress, and export the images that QuickTime supports.
Version 2.7 incorporates Rotating images 360 degrees, Customizable Presets, and a number of enhancements and bug fixes.

Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
"A very usefull tool. The best freeware program I've ever found!"
Pros: It really helps save space and it seems that the compression is lossless up to around 50% compression. I don't know what the real stats are but even printing a 4x6 from a compressed image looks good. No spyware or other malcode and the company that owns this is excellent about answering questions and helping.
Cons: I've had to down-load and re-install it 3 times but the company that desined this program have been right there to help figure it out. Pretty good for free!

Pros: It's simple, flexible to use, goes right to do its compression function and it's truely free. I would not mind paying for it since it does not play the game of bait and switch and it works great.
Unlike other "free" software that leads one to install and does not work until you register.

Pros: It has a simple, "NORMAL" interface so that you can actually use the program upon first glance. I use it for Ebay sales. Loving it...Plus, it was free! Lowers my Operating Costs :)
Cons: Can't think of anything right now. Come on people, it's free!
