"Simple to install, use and administer"

Pros
Extremely easy to use, easily customizable with the API, great CMS tools, excellent security system provides great piece of mind, high performance even at peak times, pre-installed themes are great, friendly support. Bang for buck, it cant be beaten.
Cons
The security system can take a while to understand, but once you do its extremely granular and powerful.
Summary
We have installed this to 5,000+ end users at our organization. Being in the airline industry, our workforce is often on the move, so access over the internet as an intranet/extranet was crucial. Intranet Dashboard enabled this with ease.
The administration system makes the day to day running of the intranet/extranet very simple.
We chose iD over Sharepoint, and saved ourselves a lot of money, however, the latest version of iD connects to Sharepoint, if you have it, so we can make any legacy sharepoint document libraries available. (we are yet to implement this feature, but plan to very soon) -
"Easy to use, flexible, good all round solution."

Pros
The product is easy to use. You can install it, and have a new site up and running in moments. It?s also easy for a central administrator to control a large environment without a large web team.
Cons
With the early version we had, publishers had a bit too much creative freedom, which they loved, but I personally wanted to restrict. This has changed in later versions of the tool, so it can be controlled by the central administrator.
Summary
I rolled this product out to over 3000 administrators, 140,000 end users at Shell. We wanted a distributed publishing model, and even non-technical administrators (some did not know what a hyperlink was) were easy to train on ID.
As a central administrator, it was easy for me to get an overview of all sites, and where the activity was.
We were also able to integrate with SharePoint and SAP through web services and RSS. -
"Amazingly quick to roll out our new intranet"

Pros
It has the largest set of apps/features of any product we reviewed. It's fully customisable, including languages and front end look and feel. The best part is that it also works as a secure extranet, operating in dual Active Directory and login mode.
Cons
We haven?t had any issues with Intranet DASHBOARD, and we rolled it out to a user base of over 4,000 staff.

"STOP STOP STOP! Do NOT buy this product."

Pros
The only pros for this product are that it's an all-in-one solution for SMALL business (who probably can't afford it anyway), and it is what that product says it is - an intranet dashboard.
Cons
No real support. E-mail support only for a $50k product, and the e-mail support staff will only reiterate what's in the user manual, which doesn't tell you how to do everything. Frustrating to use for an experienced web user.
Summary
This product is by far the worst CMS I have ever used. There are many things it can't do, and I'm incredibly surprised at their client list and the amount of money these people make (read: steal).
My company uses this EXPENSIVE product, and it is very limited in it's functionality and customisation. Free, open source products do a far better job, which my company is thankfully moving to in 2 months time.
The support is practically non-extistent. The user manual doesn't include enough information, their "knowledge base" and forums on their site contain minimal information. When you call for support, you're told to e-mail them. When you e-mail them, they read from the minimal manual, and that's it. If you have an actual problem with something that isn't working, they don't know how to fix it, and refuse to try. The support they offer only tells you how to use the features, assuming they're working.
I recommending spending twice as much on a solution 20 times better, or spend nothing at all on DotNetNuke, Umbraco, Joomla!.... anything is better than this product.
DO NOT BUY IT.
I'm happy to personally talk to anyone who might be considering this useless piece of software. -

Pros
This Intranet application is perfect for relieving the centralized approach to our prior home grown Intranet. Previously all changes had to go through the intranet team. Now Admins within departments can handle their own updates/changes. Intranet DASHBOARD (iD) has many great internal apps to compliment internal web apps that we have incorporated into this excellent tool.
Security is very important within our company and iD has multiple security options at the overall Website level down to the individual applications and documents within various site.
We evaluated several intranet/extranet/portal apps from high end to open source and ultimately chose iD for its flexibility and features. We were able to relieve the folks in the IT department of many of their "intranet" duties and allow them to focus on their jobs.
Cons
Installation had a couple gotchas but some of that stemmed from my lack of IIS knowledge. After consulting my IT group it then made sense.
Documentation is not the best but the iD support site is good and contains many good tutorials.

The drop and drag functionality makes it so easy - staff in our office have picked it up in no time! The tools are fabulous - and the new contacts manager is unreal. The SMS functionality is cool.

Summary
This product has a lot of applications which are included so you get everything in the one package. I found it very easy to use as it has both simple and advanced features in the admin. The subsites feature is also handy as you can create multiple layers of sites and have the content drop down from the top level. Definitely worth a look if you are after an intranet upgrade.
