For many people, the first part of every workday is spent turning on their computer and then opening the various programs, documents, and Web sites that they regularly use to do business. The program's interface is plain and intuitive, and we had no trouble getting started. Users simply create lists of the programs and files they want to open, save the lists, and then either set them to run on startup or access them whenever needed throughout the day. Adding a new item to a list is as simple as clicking on a green plus sign and then browsing to whatever it is that you want to add. We loved the versatility of Instant File Opener; you can have it open Microsoft Word or specific Word documents, your browser, or specific Web sites. It can launch media files, your e-mail client--anything you want to have up and running automatically. A built-in Help file explains the program's features, but most users probably won't have to consult it; everything about Instant File Opener is extremely common sense.
