From Ingenus Software:MP3 DJ is a mixing console featuring two independent mixing decks each with its own comprehensive array of control and playback features, time display, end-track warning, and VU display. Multiple sound card support lets you select different output devices for each playback deck, jingles, and monitor. The program also includes BPM detection, 10-band EQ per deck including per-track memory, dual independent spectrum analysis and oscilloscope, total recall for EQ and volume settings, stretch or pitch playback speed capabilities, and jingle pads. SoftDJ enables you to split the cross fade. This cross fade method adopts a mixing strategy making MP3 mixing more seamless. It helps eliminate a dip in volume during a cross fade between two tracks, and facilitates more comprehensive cuing.

Version: Ingenus Soft DJ 1.2.2
"Excellent entry level DJing software. Recommended!"
Pros: This program has all the major facilities needed to get started in the world of MP3 DJing. It has a smart interface combined with excellent (and exclusive) facilities like per-track EQ/volume which saves and recalls EQ and Volume settings for each track. This is very useful when trying to create an equilibrium in volume and tone within your MP3 library. The Jingle pad is very useful, which enables you to select up to 10 jingles per pad and save it. There is no limit to the amount of jingles you can save.
The audio visual display is really snazzy, and the BPM matching is accurate. The auto cross-fade is nice to.
All in all, this is a very useful application, and well worth the money.
Cons: When I first downloaded this component, I installed it on my PII 333Mhz 128Mb laptop, but facilities like the auto cross-fade worked very slowly, and some of the graphics of the sliders smudged during auto-fade. But as soon as I put it on my P4 2Ghz it run perfectly and I'm sure it would happily run on a processor and memory half way between these two specs.
