From MetaGeek :Inssider is a Wi-Fi network scanner for Windows Vista and Windows XP. Although NetStumbler, the most popular Wi-Fi network scanner, it hasn't been actively developed for years. We heard complaints that NetStumbler doesn't with Windows Vista and 64-bit Windows XP, so we decided to build an open-source Wi-Fi network scanner designed for the current generation of Windows operating system.
Version 1.0.13.0926 has includes corrected several bugs, improved crash handling, German and Swedish translations, and adjustable table headers.

"Awesome monitoring and works with Vista!"
Pros: This works better then net stumbler in my opinion. I can monitor signal strength and connectivity in real time. Also the vista support is really great. I also like that I can capture and print the graphs.
Cons: Would like to have a built in print function instead of a screen shot feature. Would also like to have more information about the access points.
Summary: Great free program and is a must have if your doing heavy wireless or having issues with connectivity. So 5 stars for making troubleshooting and diag easier.

Pros: Iprobably would have liked it if I did not get error messages about interface not loading or error in loading. I have tried to get this to work more than 5 times on each machine. I am running Windows xp sp3 and vista sp1.
Cons: like i said the program was nothing but trouble and as iwas unable to utilize this program I can say "it didn't work for me"

"The best Wi-Fi detector I've used"
Pros: Fast. Easy to use. Customizable.
Cons: None that I can find.
Summary: I've looked for a long time to find a good network detecting program like this, and haven't had any luck finding a good one that would work with my network card, but this one is awesome.

"Find WiFi networks and what security they have."
Pros: Works as advertised. I'm finding out all sorts of new nets around me that Windows itself never sees. And then I get to see the new nets that are starting up.
Cons: I wish that the selection for what net card to use was sticky. It keeps selecting my Bluetooth adapter as the default. Which doesn't work. :)

"Very good program for using discovering wi-fi networks."
Pros: It is very easy in use, shows you all wireless networks in your location, and also detects if they are protected or not.
Cons: Use it for 2 months already, did not find anything bad about it.
Summary: It is very useful product for those who permanently uses wireless networks, with inSSIDer it is possible to have all up-to-date information about one,s local wireless networks.
