Publisher's description
From MetaGeek :Inssider is a Wi-Fi network scanner for Windows Vista and Windows XP. Although NetStumbler, the most popular Wi-Fi network scanner, it hasn't been actively developed for years. We heard complaints that NetStumbler doesn't with Windows Vista and 64-bit Windows XP, so we decided to build an open-source Wi-Fi network scanner designed for the current generation of Windows operating system. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: InSSIDer 1.0.12.0317
Pros: Very nice and simple. Used NetStumbler once. Now it will not see my USB 2.0 wireless device no matter what I do. With InSSIDer install and scan. No problems. Shows my hidden SSID as well as MAC, what type of security I'm using and speed. Shows signal strength in graph form also. Can save to file.
Cons: I've just installed this and so far no problems.

Version: InSSIDer 1.0.12.0317
Pros: Makes a pretty graph (scope style) of available APs. Also shows MAC addresses and SSIDs (usually hidden in windows networking).
Cons: it recommends Chanalyzer and other software to add to the functionality. more downloads from what site?? no thanks.
