Publisher's description
From TeraByte :Image for Windows is a Windows drive image backup-and-restore utility that creates a snapshot of an entire partition or volume to a set of files or directly to most DVD+RW/R, DVD-R/RW, or CD-R/RW drives. If something ever happens to that partition or volume, you'll be able to restore the snapshot image.
Version 1.61 adds support for PHYLock 2.01 and ability to provide partition ID on command line restores.

Version: Image for Windows 1.61
"Great product if you can figure it out"
Pros: According to Fred Langa this is the best! Fits on one floppy. Cheap. Very easy to backup in windows.
Cons: The manual is written for dummy geniuses. You get far more information than you need, the order the information is given in is mystifying, and you seem to be reading the same thing over and over with slight changes to further confuse you. I have a Ph.D., been building computers for 10 years, but using the manual I still haven't figured out how to make image for dos work! It needs to be rewritten by a good tech writer (like the Drive Image manual).

Version: Image for Windows 1.61
"Better than all the rest by far !!!"
Pros: It does exactly what it says it does, and in 3 easy steps.
Hey, I'm a picky buyer that hardly ever brags about anything, but in this case I must!
I spent over a week trying all the other expensive image backup programs like Icronis True Image, Paragon Exact Image and Windows Backup, R-technologys R-Drive Image, and many others, they all confused my USB slave hardrive as being C: drive and had other ERRORs and crashed even froze my comp!
I didn't even have to disable my SystemCommander to backup its partition on top of its self without rebooting Win98se - WOW! and I got Bootit in the great Bundle deal, can't wait to try it out.
Hats off to terabyte unlimited staff, please don't change anything!
Good technoloy plus Simple is best.
You made my decade!
Cons: Nothing to dislike, its perfect!

Version: Image for Windows 1.61
"Excellent function for a fair price"
Pros: Boot from DVD and restore complete Windows NTFS system on wiped hard drive. No need to fdisk or format first. Just let it run from boot.
Another suprize - Will span DVDs.
Cons: Should never have to D/L stuff like phylock and install to get proggie to work. Install should have all that. Make -install is OK on Linux but dependencies not wanted on Windows.

Version: Image for Windows 1.61
"Please Read the directions first. But it Works!!"
Pros: I screwed with Windows XP Backup and Restore for 2 days. In spite of not reading the instructions for Image for Windows 1.61 it worked. Installed a new "C" drive and finally got the old drive mirrored and transfered over in one try... sort of. Reading the directions would of made it much faster. You can make boot disks and boot CD-ROMs to make your life with Windows XP less of a pain. A bargain for the price -$26.95.
Cons: None

"Great product that performs a necessary function well."
Pros: Complete backup - Image created in windows can be restored in DOS when Windows doesn't work (isn't that when you need the backup?) Running in windows allows use of devices not normally available for backup (USB, DVD/CD burning etc.)Works quickly and is unobtrusive. Seems to do the job (a very important one for those of us that wish to maintain continuity and consistency in our careers and lives.) It is fairly inexpensive and easy to use (the basic functions anyway.) I appreciate this product! (Can you tell?)
