IMsecure offers basic inbound threat protection from buffer overflow attacks as well as message encryption for one instant messaging account to protect instant messages from being monitored.
Version 1.5 features: Universal Protection protects the vast majority of IM traffic, by working with the most popular services: AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger; Inbound and Outbound; Proxy Support lets IM clients connect via SOCKS5 and SOCKS5 proxies, as well as tunneling HTTP proxies.

Pros: it protects you
Cons: It woulnt let me sign in, it apparently works for everyone else so im not gonna give it a terrible review, but be warned, it may stop your ability to IM

Pros: Protects and encrypts all the major IM programs, including the very unsafe ICQ.
Cons: Only does one account with each service with the free version.

"The best IM security product!"
Pros: If you receive unwanted spim (spam for IM) then this is the program you want.
This is not the only reason why it's good. All the other features also rock!

"way better than norton..it shows me what's been going on and its such a relieve"
Pros: the fact that it tells users information on whats going on while im chatting.
Cons: i wish its more user friendly

Pros: I use yahoo messenger for a club there and yahoo seems to be a mine field for viruses, worms and hacking. Their messenger is an easy gateway for those security risks. Many virus protecters do not protect your computer against viruses and worms coming through messsengers. Imsecure does great job of reducing the transmission of these viruses and worms.
Cons: New viruses and worms are developed every day and more means to overcome whatever security programs you have on your computer. It is big business developing security breaching programs and then developing detection and eliminating programs to resolve these breaches. Imsecure can only do so much.
