HourWorld shows the light and dark areas of the earth with the positions of the sun and moon. Twilight is displayed with both beauty and geometric precision as it blends from daylight into full darkness around the world. The primary screen displays up to 14 clocks, showing the current time and day/night status in cities of your choice. Functions include worldwide clocks, phone call coordinator, sunrise and sunset, sun and moon calendars, sundial, and GPS. Five sizes for screens up to 1280x1024.
What's new in this version:
- There is no charge to registered users.
- Requires OS X 10.4 or later.
- Recompiled as an Intel/PowerPC Universal Application.
- Adjusts and extends daylight saving start/stop rules and areas into 2009 through 2014.
- To install, copy the new HourWorld 3.4.1 file to your hard drive, and stop using the previous one.

"Informational and wonderful to look at"

Pros
The projection of the map gives HourWorld a more realistic display, and the time zones and solar coloration provide a useful look at the hours of light and dark around the planet. I am now retired and enjoy simply looking at HourWorld occasionally.
Cons
Nothing, really.
Summary
The population of the planet makes it seem smaller each year, yet we still seem alien to one another. HourWorld is a gentle reminder that the same sun shines on us all.

This is a great product that works perfectly with Leopard. I initially had a problem with it, but the developer responded to my email within a couple of hours with a simple fix. The problem was not with the program, but was due to a corrupted prefs file on my end.
I highly recommend this product! :) -

I have been using Hourworld since it was originally released and love it. When I initially upgraded to Leopard I had a problem resizing the window. I wrote to the developer, who responded within two hours with an easy fix, and it now works perfectly!
When I first experienced the problem, I wrote a bad review on this site as a draft, then wrote to the developer. When I received such a prompt response with an easy fix, I went to close out the draft post only to find that it had been posted (obviously, I screwed something up).
I promptly hit the "Admin" button and asked them to delete the post, but unfortunately the Versiontracker folks have ignored that request.
