This application recovers Hotmail and MSN Messenger passwords stored on your computer, though in our tests it couldn't perform with the latest versions of MSN Messenger. Hotmail & MSN Password Recovery offers a tiny interface wherein you'll simply hit the recover button, and your username and password are instantly displayed (though this version only retrieves the first letter of your password). There's also a one-click access button to launch Hotmail's site. In our tests, this program failed to produce any results with MSN Messenger 7.5 even though it claimed to function with versions 6, 6.2, 7, and 7.5. Only after installing MSN Messenger 6 and adding .NET Passport to our computer user account was Hotmail & MSN Password Recovery able to deliver on its promises. Although it finally comes through, most users would prefer a password-recovery tool that can keep up with the rest of the pack.

Did a scan of my hard drive trying to locate my Hotmail password but came back with 'not found'. This despite my 13 year membership with Hotmail.

Wasn't able to find out if the program was good or not.

After installing the program on my computer I was hit with a trojan! An alert window from my virus protection (McAfee) popped up because it blocked a trojan named "GenericPWS.y" located in C:\PROGRAM FILES\HOTMAIL & MSN PASSWORD RECOVERY\XJ.EXE
