    "Too expensive"

    August 30, 2005   |   By cocoaNut--2008

    Version: Home Weather Center 1.5.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I like the softare, the concept and the execution is fairly good, it's just too expensive for this type of shareware. If it were in the $10-$20 range I'd buy it but not for $35.

    "Location Lookup pretty much blows"

    April 15, 2005   |   By lexicon5_

    Version: Home Weather Center 1.2.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Trying to Enter New York and then Lookup....I get the "Couldn't find location code for New York. huh?? New freakin York? Tried Lookup on Cupertino....same result. Saint Louis, MO, same thing. St. Louis, MO. Kansas City....the same for EVERY location even the default. Even the zip codes don't work.
    Better luck next release.

I've been using Home Weather Center since it's inception and it just got better with the imagery display. I don't no why some people have trouble with it. It works perfect for me. Maybe they should take the time and read the manual.

    "Are You Kidding"

    April 03, 2005   |   By WolfmanT32

    Version: Home Weather Center 1.2.0

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I downloaded home weather center even though the evaluations were very low, hoping it was better than expected. The concept is exciting, and something I have wished for for a long time. I opened the program and when I tried to change the location, it couldn't find it and reported and error and then quit. This happened about 4 times and then I decided it was a poor program so I tried to throw it away. I had to restart my computer to get it to disappear. You have a lot of work before this program will be usable. I can't believe you put this out with such fundamental bugs!

Won't load under 10.2.8? Tried two different computers...keeps crashing. Older 1.1x version worked.

    "Wow."

    January 15, 2005   |   By Paul_Vail_674

    Version: Home Weather Center 1.1.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
There are a few applications every year that wow me. Not many, but a few. This is one of them. Last year, I fell in love with eyeTV, Bookit, Cocktail and X-lite. The year before was MacJournal, Mr Tides, AudioHiJack and Nicecast. Just from my four hours of playing with this, I'm impressed. It does just what it says, and does it very well. No more annoying popus from wunderground.com or the weather channel. About the only thing missing is having the ability to capture the dopplar feed from my local area into a nice window -- now that would be cool.

If it doesn't bomb in the next two weeks, these guys will get their shareware $ from me and some praise to friends.

What really blew me away was the excellent documentation -- not considered an important 'feature' to many developers, and not that I needed it, but what a pleasant surprise to see something more than a readme file!

    "This is one great application..."

    December 30, 2004   |   By MikeWelsh--2008

    Version: Home Weather Center 1.1.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The quantity and diversity of information gathered and displayed is phenomenal! The developer has placed at our disposal, in attractive and useful ways, a plethora of data. I especially like the constantly changing indicators displayed in the dock, which correlate to weather conditions. This one is a keeper, well worth the $35 fee which I'm going to pay now before the developer comes to his senses and raises it.
