Publisher's description
From Sidesk :Home Control is a networked remote control for multimedia programs. The program consists of two parts: server and client. The client program is installed on Pocket PC, which communicate with the server via WiFi network. The server receives commands from the Pocket PC and control multimedia programs using command line parameters or SendMSg Windows function.
The Pocket PC can browse, search and play multimedia files on the server. All program names, file extensions, controls, command line, and SendMsg parameters are included in the config.ini file and can be configured with Home Control Setup program. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: Home Control 1
Pros: It's free.
Cons: Requires Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0.
Requires WACommand.exe for Winamp control (Google it, not allowed to include links in these reviews).
I only got this working through some messing around ? not for novices. I had to do a printscreen to see the error message to see that .NET was required. I also manually configured the config.ini files on the computer and my on Pocket PC. Installation on Pocket PC will not place an icon in your Programs directory, you'll need to manally browse to the program to start it. When I finally get both server and client working simultaneously, at least one of them crashes before I get to try the program. The only things i could get it to do were remotely turn Winamp On/Off and play/stop current song, but that's it. I was able to download song list to my Pocket PC, but program crashes before I can try queueing up another song selection. Too bad, it looked promising, but it's easier to just use the built-in terminal client on my iPAQ.
