Publisher's Description
From Just Great Software:
HelpScribble is a full-featured, easy-to-use, help-authoring tool for creating help files from start to finish. Create WinHelp (HLP) files, HTML Help (CHM) files, a printed manual, and online documentation all from the same project. Write full-featured help files with the built-in editors for SHG files (hot-spot bitmaps), WinHelp macros, and content trees, and browse sequences.
If you have previously used another help-authoring tool, reuse your work by importing the HPJ and RTF files created with the other tool or by a decompiler. Use the help files you make with HelpScribble to provide context-sensitive help with your Windows applications, no matter which development tool you use.
What's new in this version: Verison 7.8.1 has HelpContext property editor for Delphi XE and C++Builder XE.

"This software is ok"
Version: HelpScribble 7.7.2
Pros
Easy creation to help files and content files and any details
Cons
ok
-
"no chm support"
Version: HelpScribble 7.5.2
Cons
I never got around to truely trying out this product because I could not load up my existing project which was a chm created with Help Workshop. He does offer a utility on his website to decompile WinHelp projects, but how can I convert my 21st century project into a 1990's version? Step into the new millenium.

"There are much better programs than this!"
Version: HelpScribble 7.4
Summary
In all honest I can only compare this to the one other previously evaluated help file compiler which is "Help & Manual 3". HelpScribble was not even half the product and seemed to be a piece of software that has all the right options but just seems to be thrown together. On positive note help scribble is half the price of "Help & Manual 3" but half the quality, from that I will let you work out yourself which one to evaluate.
P.S. And no I don’t work for the company that produces “Help & Manual 3”
