Accurately monitor the health of your hard drives with this comprehensive tool. HDDlife Pro's single-page interface displays comprehensive jargon-free information. The program's clear, concise Help file should guide novice users through program background and operation.
Operating HDDlife Pro couldn't be easier. At first run, the app checks more than 20 hard-drive parameters, then immediately displays health status, performance, and select drive information. The interface shows simple percentage bar graphs for health and performance, but offers single-click links for detailed information. A very helpful Conclusion window breaks the scores down into plain language. A temperature bar stays high on the information screen showing the drive's current and maximum temperatures. Additional graphs display drive capacity and free-space information. A tray icon displays the drive's current temperature, and pops up select data after updating drive status.
To display the drive's raw S.M.A.R.T. values, HDDlife Pro must maintain an Internet connection to the publisher's database. The 14-day trial is more than long enough for intermediate to advanced users to come to rely on this app for helpful drive-health information.

Version: HDDlife Pro 3.1.155
Pros: I haven't a clue what these other guys find so good about this app. It is not accurate in HDD safe operating temperature, used disk space & shows a new, out of the box WD 320 SATA drive as olive in color with an 82% performance score. What a load! Don't waste your $$$.
Cons: I'm not happy because we wasted $25 (like dummy's) on an app that we no longer use. Not recommended until or unless they fix the bugs in it!

"I had my first review removed."
Pros: I was mistaken about this program. It seems it's not so good after all. Safe operating temp for my hard drives is 140f or 55c. The alarm sounds at 45c which makes it a bother more then a helpful program to have. It would seem that the designer did a one parameter for all hard drives when each is different. Performance seems off to as mine are new & one scores 82% while the other scores 94% in performance. Disk usage is off some to. The Sports Fan got it right & I'm just hoping this revised review helps now.
Cons: I'm hoping these issues are addressed in the next update because being a program in a limited category, I bought it * as of now, it's been removed from my Vista system.

"Reports a new SATA drive with health state 0%"
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: If the new drive was at 0%, Microsoft will alert me

Version: HDDlife Pro 3.1.155
"Works Well, but Zero Support"
Pros: Works Well; Also monitors temperature; Can Email Alerts to your phone, etc. Hard drive temperature alerts CAN easily be customized to whatever temperature you desire (the other reviewers are incorrect).
Cons: Literally Zero Support. Never replied once to numerous emails or support tickets. The health status % needs some tweaking. The health and performance percentages are too low for many drives.
Summary: Great if you never need support.

Version: HDDlife Pro 3.1.155
Pros: Please don't buy this. It's off in every way & will only serve to aggravate the heck out of you. Safe operating temp. of my hard drive is 55c max., this gives danger warning at 45c. gave it to Revo & good riddance!
Cons: Everything!
