From BinarySense :Modern hard disks are smart and complex devices that collect and store extensive statistics about themselves. HDDLife Pro is a tool to access and analyze these statistics. HDDLife Pro runs in the background constantly monitoring your disks. It alerts you about possible hard disk problems before they happen and displays a disk health indicator right on the disk icons in Windows Explorer.
Version 2.7.85 uses ten time less memory and supports skins.

"Pretty good hard drive monitor, but not worth the price."
Pros: Its free.
Nice interface. Reports values in colorful progress bar.
Can minimize to the tray.
Seems like its part of Windows.
Cons: The health values it reports aren't really accurate in my mind.
Not worth the price considering there are many free hard drive monitors.

Version: HDDlife Pro 2.7.85
Pros: And to tell you the life of your HDD using the SMART attributes. This program has a cool feature for Maxtor HDD's or other HDD's that support Acoustic Management that allows you to change the AM setting to make it quiet or faster (louder). Good for measuring temps too.
Cons: You will have to reinstall the product when installing a new HDD or when swapping drives or when swtiching channel (Master or Slave).

Pros: Great knowing status of HD temps, helped Identify potential problem with one of mine the first day!
Cons: Is there any way to change the warning temp setpoints?
