This all-purpose image editor offers high-end editing tools and support for several image formats, without the high price tag of professional software. GraphicConverter can import and export almost any image format. It offers a simple, yet powerful, set of image-editing tools, batch-conversion capabilities, and compatibility with Photoshop-style plug-ins. You also can create a slide show of your images. The publisher actively updates the program in response to bug reports and requests for feature enhancements, which explains its longevity as a top Mac image editor. Though there certainly are better image-editing solutions out there, none offer as much value as GraphicConverter.Publisher's description

"Good Picture Editing Starter Set"
Pros: I was looking for a stop-gap to get me through until Adobe releases a version of Photo Elements compatible with OS X Leopard. This little utility filled the bill and made me question whether I needed Elements at all. It offers minor enhancements for photos, resizes and crops -- and that's all I really need.
Cons: If you are into heavy image manipulation -- or are looking from a lot of filters and effects -- this probably won't make you happy. It's very basic. I would also like a drag-and-drop feature like Adobe offers.

Pros: A nice, clean application. I downloaded it to separate some photos that I had scanned together (turns out my version of Photoshop Elements doesn't work with my new iMac), and it worked like a charm. Also handily straightened and cropped the photos.
Cons: A little clunky in some respects--resizing, saving copies (too many option!), etc. Is it possible for an application to have too many features? Maybe...

Pros: I have not tried yet, but it look like to be a good converter
Cons: I have to use it first. But it look great and I hope so, everybody is ready to use this kind of Graphic Converteer x with joy.
