The Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer does more than give IE a shot of nitro. With a set of features both useful and self-promoting, Google Toolbar 4 feels like it adds four cylinders to IE's engine, turning it into a powerhouse of personalized functionality. There's the dedicated Google search window, the highly effective pop-up blocker, the form autofiller, the translation utility, the spelling checker, and the map tool that automatically links addresses in Web pages to maps. Then there's the full integration with the Google suite: Google Earth, Google News, Froogle, Google Maps, Blogger, and others. Every single one of the integrated tools, including the toolbar itself, is fully customizable.
Note that using advanced features such as PageRank automatically sends the URL of the site you're viewing back to Google's servers. The PageRank feature is optional, and you can enable or disable it at any time through the toolbar's Options button. But if you're concerned about privacy, Google gives you the option of downloading a version that doesn't report back. You can even use the Google Toolbar without a Google account. However, considering all that comes with it, why wouldn't you?

Pros
I like the pop-up blocker and the auto-fill. Auto fill is great when it's on the tool bar.
Cons
I don't understand why the toolbat disappeats after you open a new I.E. page.
I have re-loaded the T.B. several times and it just don't hang in.Summary
As I've said I like the pop-up blocker and auto-fill with the exception of the fact that the tool bar disappears if you should need a new page. Right now when this page opened it's gone !

It has a number of free programmes that you may d/l along with the toolbar and extras has a multitude of sites you may choose to help with specific interests.
To me the BEST PART is being able to SPELL CHECK AND CORRECT ERRORS WHEN I FILL IN A WEB SITE AND SPELL SOMETHING WRONG and don't notice the error. Google's SPELL CHECKER may be activated easily and automatically puts the errors in RED so that I can see them and correct them with their dictionary programme. It is very embarrassing to me if I make spelling errors and cannot correct them. This little GOODIE of Google is worth the whole d/l in my opinion.
Cons
The only problems I had with the GOOGLE TOOLBAR occurred when I tried to d/l and set up their minimal NORTON and another anti spyware. They would not automatically update themselves even when I selected that area and it upset other anti virus etc. programmes I was running. I had to remove these programmes and my installed anti virus anti spyware programmes worked normally again. Other than that the GOOGLE TOOLBAR is excellent and works very well indeed and of course is very easy to set up which old computer nerds like me need.

Cons
I've used free version google toolbar for a long time but each time I install it with my current system (MS XP, Home Edition; IE 6; SpySweeper's 'full security suite'), it disables, for instance. Outlook Express. I sure do miss it!
