"Easy to use + comprehensive photo management/uploading"
Version: Google Picasa 3.0.1
Pros
It's intuitive and easy to use and I especially like the feature that allows the user to automatically resize the images while uploading to a web album, great for sharing 100's of photos with friends and family!
Cons
I'd like more control over which photos are included during a search and over duplicate images.
Summary
It FREE and very useful if you have a large collection of photos you want to organise and share as well as offering some basic editing options. The functionality of web album uploads is also very good. Incidentally, web albums can be accessed from within Photoshop Express online for more editing options, all within a browser. To me Picasa's similar to iTunes but obviously designed for photo management.

"Good Product. Different colour from iphoto."
Version: Google Picasa 3.0.1
Pros
All the good features are there.
Cons
Picture from Picasa and iPhoto looks different.
Summary
When I import my photographs from iPhoto, the same picture on Picasa look 'diluted' and pale when compared to those on iPhoto. Something is not right. How could a same picture file looks different on a same machine using different software.

"Not ready yet"
Version: Google Picasa 3.0.1
Pros
I like that it searches and links to existing pictures, but...
Cons
the links are still erroneous, so it's not yet of much use.
Summary
I didn't dare try any of the features for fear that my pictures would be "damaged." (Of course I didn't take the time to do a backup before I tried it <g>) The first thing that has to be is a correct link to the picture(s) - and some decent help (write-up) wouldn't hurt.
A laudable attempt, but released too soon in my opinion.
