CNET Editors' review
Already a powerful information tool on BlackBerry, Google Mobile App keeps getting better. Additions to its search aspect, the app's primary function, scours the Web, your phone's address book and e-mail in-box, your Web-based Gmail account, and Google Docs for results that match your query. The app UI is anchored by a search bar, with a string of icons marching along the top to open other apps, like Gmail, Google Maps, Google News, and Google Reader. Click one to download or launch native Google apps like Gmail and maps, or to jump to mobile Web sites for the panoply of Google apps.
Autocomplete search suggestions save you time. You can also scroll through search history and edit a misspelled search term. A My Location feature that uses your GPS or cell tower triangulation helps localize search results.
The app's face is long overdue for a refresh, but its strong substance keeps it high on our list of most useful BlackBerry apps.

"App? What app?"
Version: Google Mobile App for BlackBerry 3.5
Pros
Zip, nothing, nada, mahala.
Cons
It's a waste of disk space and serves no useful purpose
Summary
There is so little positive to say about this trashy app which someone woke up from a drunken binge and decided it'd be a cool idea (in the mold of Jackass) to make. I got rid of it quicker than you say google.

"The most useful blackberry app EVER!!!"
Version: Google Mobile App for BlackBerry 3.4.14
Pros
Voice search, GPS function, auto location update, quick link to Gmailm news and other google apps.
Cons
None that annoy me enough to list. If i must specify a con, I have to sometimes repeat my search criteria before it gets it right.
Summary
I am a Blackberry Bold user on AT&T (3G). I use this app almost daily for locating and/or retriieving phone numbers for restaurants, shops, schools, and libraries. It saves me so much time because I don't have to be tethered to my desktop or laptop to locate info on the go. I can just hop in the car and speak, locate, and call while driving. I especially like that it locates businesses within close proximity to your present location.
The GPS works well. I used it yesterday to locate the high school where my son's basketball team played. It is a new school located beyond the suburbs. It took me straight to it with no problem.
Sometime, I do have to repeat my search criteria before it gets the search result right, but I won't complain. You get soooo much functionality for FREE, you just can't complain too much. You just have to be careful to speak slowly and enunciate your words. -
"Good Stuff!"
Version: Google Mobile App for BlackBerry 3.3
Pros
My Location feature
Cons
Crashes some times!
Summary
Great application, the voice search feature works really well (with a British accent anyway), the only problem I have with it is that it does crash once in a while and the only way to get it to work again is to reboot the system. But overall this application is not much different from using the Google Browser from a computer.

"Complex synergy of multiple technologies. Easy, useful."
Version: Google Mobile App for BlackBerry 3.3
Pros
Finds anything you want, faster than Yellow Pages, and lists them in order of proximity to your geographic (GPS) location. List includes phone, address, web site, etc. Draws you a map on request. Fast. Free. (GPS is free on Verizon now).
Cons
Nothing. I found no flaws.
Summary
I've used it for a couple weeks now, with no glitches, to find food, fuel, camping, and RV dump stations while traveling.

"newbie so i'm fascinated by having the google apps here"
Version: Google Mobile App for BlackBerry 2.0
Pros
some of the google apps you're used to are available in a 'mobile' version. you can sign in and access gmail, calendar, docs (though my company blocks docs), photos, and of course the google search and maps (with gps in blackberry). very convenient
Cons
'maps' doesnt automatically appear to go in GPS mode, need to figure that out. Gmail can be setup via blackberry's "Mail" application but that's not what this setup does, it treats it as a gmail web page. It is doable to use "Mail" on blackberry.
Summary
like having the google apps "bookmarked" for easy access. That's essentially what this does, setup 'bookmarks" to the web browser.
