Since the application is designed for users on-the-go, it provides features like click-to-call and saved search history that are especially useful for mobile phone users. Maps for mobile works with most Java-enabled (J2ME) mobile phones offered by Cingular and Sprint, and all color BlackBerry devices regardless of carrier. At this time, Local for mobile doesn't work with Nextel, T-Mobile or BREW-enabled phones (Verizon, Alltel, U.S. Cellular), or Palm devices. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

"It works with my Palm TX however, it has limited function unlike a portable GPS."
Pros: The map is good as long as you are connected to the internet.
Cons: It doesn't have a driving direction. Still a cumbersome. Needs some improvement.

"Outstanding software of its type at any cost ... needs WiFi"
Pros: Works smoothly on the T3 (with WiFi Card). Reasonably nimble access, making it very useful. Access to both maps, and satellite pics. Able to locate addresses, Cities, etc... Gotta' try this one. One of the best freeware I've ever loaded on my Palm.
Cons: Requires WiFi hotspot.
