Version: GoodSync 7
"This program is fast and easy"
Pros: I couldn't believe how fast and easy this program is to setup. I literally set this up in less than 2 minutes. I have it setup to run every hour and I have not had any problems at all. I'm backing up my main directories from my C: drive to an external E: drive and the analyze and sync functions execute flawlessly, even when I tested file changes on both drives.
Cons: The GUI is a little plain, but overall not bad at all.

Version: GoodSync 7
"Excellent for synchronising data files onto a backup drive"
Pros: I have a freestanding backup drive onto which I use GoodSync to backup my data files. The program analyses which file(s) have been changed since the last backup and only backs up those. The program allows a number of 'backup scenes' to be defined which can be specific to how you have structured your directories on your PC and on the backup drive. After 30 days, the free version resticts this to three scenes.
GoodSync works in both directions so data I have amended on my laptop and also bcked up onto the remote drive can then be sync'd to the data on the main PC.
Also, you can instruct GoodSync not to backup certain files or sub-directories if required. It will also 'correct' your backup direcories and files if you change the directory structure or move files on the main PC.
Costs approx GBP10 for PC plus further GBP5 for laptop installations. Money well spent IMHO.
Cons: Not yet sure how well it handles backing up and restoring Outlook files. I have not yet been able to get an up to date version of my Outlook files from my PC onto my laptop via the backup on the remote drive.
