GoVenture MyFirst are fun, educational software programs designed specifically for young children who may not have mastered the use of the mouse or keyboard. All programs advance by the click of any button (mouse or keyboard), so young children are able to use the software with little or no assistance. Designed as computerized versions of children's flipbooks, GoVenture MyFirst software programs allow the very young to "play computer" with you or on their own. The program loops for enjoyment--just hit any button to continue. You can even add your child's name or a personal message to display onscreen.
Start the program and your child can play repeatedly until you halt it. Meanwhile, your desktop and other programs remain safe and out of easy reach, because GoVenture MyFirst programs play in full-screen mode.

It doesn't have the best graphics, but these educational programs teach young children the fundamentals and more. GoVenture MyFirst's colorful and animated interface is perfect for capturing the attention of toddlers. The programs occupy your entire screen and come complete with a bookshelf and toys that represent categories. Aside from numbers, letters, shapes, and colors, youngsters will learn sounds, animals, vehicles, and days of the week. The programs respond to any key press or mouse click, especially useful for young kids who aren't ready for more complex functioning. GoVenture MyFirst doesn't have the greatest graphical images around, but children will still be entertained by its static images and its positive affirmations as they play. It's a significantly large download at 20MB and the 30-day trial is cut short if 30 uses are reached first, but parents of small children will value this educational software.

"My Child's Speech and Learning Development Has Improved."
Pros: I love this program guys, My son loves it too. He's just turned two and likes to point and repeat what he sees. He can do it all by himself and even repeats when it says Good Job. I let him play while I cook dinner and he can't mess up any of my computer programs, because it's locked. He has some of the biggest smiles on his face while playing and learning his favorites colors, animals, and Cars. He shows everyone what he can do. I really really really Recommend this program, Your child will love it.
Cons: Once and a great while after I close the program I notice that some other programs are running that are turned on by some of the keys my son has pressed. So they are running in the background while he's playing the game and resources tend to be tied up but it's not a huge problem, they just end up having to be shut down after the game is shut down.

Pros: My 18 month old son loved it! He'll spend hours playing this program. He just loves it when he guesses the images correctly. He gets so proud of himself! I'd give it 6 stars if I could! Fantastic!
