From GoGoData.com :Boost your browsing speed by intelligent blocking of all types of Web pop-ups, including Web dialog pop-ups which evade most other free pop-up blockers. Blocks video ads, some banner ads (~30%), even chat login pop-ups (for example 'MSN Today' window that pops up with MSN chat login). Optional intelligent desktop protection for adware (Gator) style pop-ups. Hide feature: instantly hides all browser and chat windows, even mute speakers to avoid tell-tale chat sounds.
Version 1.8 adds a new dual pass banner filtering system, which corrects shortcomings in how IE handles blocked downloads of images. Combined with pop-up blocking, the result is a nice performance boost for Web page downloads, varying based on the number and size of ad images blocked (12% to as high as 238% improvement in a small sampling of commercial Web pages).
