You don't have to be a serious gamer to appreciate what this toolbar has to offer, as long as you don't expect too many extras. Game-Emeralds Toolbar comes with a fairly standard interface that features a search window and buttons for various tools. Not surprisingly, its primary purpose is to provide quick access to the Game-Emeralds site.

Besides a menu button with links to Game-Emeralds chats and forums, it comes preset with a highlighter, an e-mail notifier, and a pop-up blocker, all of which worked well. A weather button puts detailed weather reports a click away. But if that sort of thing doesn't interest you, the toolbar can easily be customized to remove any of the preset options or to add such components as Microsoft Word, Excel, or MSN Messenger.

We recommend this free toolbar for any user, gamer or not, looking for several helpful components packaged in one handy location.
