This image editor earns kudos for its impressive feature set. Before it launches, FxFoto offers to scan your PC for images and gives you the option to view a detailed tutorial. When we first saw the cluttered interface, we were wary, but we figured out how to perform all the actions in no time.
FxFoto has just about every image-editing tool most folks will need. You can automatically or manually improve shots, remove red-eye and blemishes, apply a number of effects, add frames and borders, correct colors, and alter white balance. FxFoto supplies a standard set of drawing tools and lets you add captions to any of your shots. The handy zoom tool provides a great deal of control over magnification. Once you've tweaked pictures to your liking, you can create a slide show with transitions, though you can't add your own music or narration unless you upgrade to the pay version.
You also can design a photo collage and share it via e-mail, burn it to CD, or upload it to one of several sharing sites. Best of all, FxFoto is free, making it a fine tool for lightweight image-editing tasks.

From Triscape :FxFoto provides a single tool for automatically organizing, enhancing, annotating, e-mailing, printing, uploading, and archiving your digital photos. An animated navigator frame displays photo thumbnails of all your pictures by topic, and photos can be organized and searched with user-specified keywords. FxFoto Standard Edition is freeware and includes red-eye correction, lighting and image enhancement, blemish removal, and a clone brush. The Deluxe or Creative Edition upgrades also create animated slide shows, collages, and scrapbook layouts using advanced creative effects and stitch multi-photo panoramas, all with the same download. Version 4.0 is a major upgrade with many new features including easier folder navigation, more effects and Unicode text support.
Version 4.0.063 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Great software, but saving is disabled!!!!"
Pros: Extremely good program, great at photo editing, you can:
Draw
Crop
Add effects
Use a clone brush
Make collages and other projects
etc etc
Cons: After editing photos, you can only view them, not copy or save them. What good is a photo editor where you cannot save the results???

Cons: I really don't know what the other users have been using before but having used this program I find it so user UNfriendly! The interface is so cluttered and the image that you have to work on is about 1/3 of the screen! Not good for editing that's for sure. Plus the controls as so tacky. No this one's definately NOT for me.

Pros: I was looking for something simple for my mom to use when I stumbled on this. It was amazing especially since it was free. It has all the basic editing tools you need plus it doesn't take much space on the hard drive. It even has a clone brush which is really nice. I had no trouble saving photos at all despite some user's warnings.
Cons: Not a brand name but frankly I don't care.

Pros: FxFoto has some impressive free photo editing features, like a powerful clone brush. And contrary to what some other people have said, the free version definitely does save JPEG and other standard formats. The user interface is fairly different than other editors, but seems to be both quick and intuitive and does a good job of keeping dialogs out of the way. I ended up paying for the non-free version, which also saves slide shows and collage layouts in a proprietary format. But I would recommend the free version to anyone looking for an easy and pretty powerful photo organizer and editor.
Cons: None really, although dyed-in-the-wool Photoshop users may find the interface too different to cope.
