This image editor earns kudos for its impressive feature set. Before it launches, FxFoto offers to scan your PC for images and gives you the option to view a detailed tutorial. When we first saw the cluttered interface, we were wary, but we figured out how to perform all the actions in no time.
FxFoto has just about every image-editing tool most folks will need. You can automatically or manually improve shots, remove red-eye and blemishes, apply a number of effects, add frames and borders, correct colors, and alter white balance. FxFoto supplies a standard set of drawing tools and lets you add captions to any of your shots. The handy zoom tool provides a great deal of control over magnification. Once you've tweaked pictures to your liking, you can create a slide show with transitions, though you can't add your own music or narration unless you upgrade to the pay version.
You also can design a photo collage and share it via e-mail, burn it to CD, or upload it to one of several sharing sites. Best of all, FxFoto is free, making it a fine tool for lightweight image-editing tasks.

"Just what I was looking for !!!"
Pros: I had been looking for an easy to use, plain old simple language photo program where I could touch up and enhance my digital camera images. Enormously bloated programs like Photoshop where you have to take out a second mortgage to get and once you get it you need a college course to figure the darn thing out . . . were just too much to mess with. I took the gamble here and upgraded to the Delux version of this program for $29.95. Every single easy touch-up tool you could want is right there in front of you! No need to wade through long tutorials.
I can touch up blemishes on peoples faces extremely easily and effectively. I can adjust color, hue, brightness, saturation and a host of other things -AND- I can do them to specific portions of the image that I choose! I can add photo mats (borders) with captions and an incredible aray of other techniques. No, this will not do all the super exotic stuff that Photoshop will do. However, it will give you all the normal photographic adjustment tools that most people will want, and it does it in a way that's right in front of you without having to wade through a lot of technobable!
There are a number of other low cost and even free programs that do pieces of what I just described. However, this program seemed to just have everything I was wanting to do to my photos to make them look better, and all those tools were right in front of me and were simple to use without having to study some lengthy manual!
Cons: Yes, the other reviewers are correct that most (not all) creations can't be saved in this standard (evaluative) edition. The company probably could and should allow a full use for a limited time of the program. No argument there.

Version: FxFoto 3.3.6
Pros: Quite good program but .............
Cons: It says NO LIMITATIONS - Wrong. You cannot save or do quite a few things in the "Free" version.
A bit of a rip, you have to buy. No way there's better for free out there

"Love this - saves everything just fine!"
Pros: I don't know what the reviewers who said it doesn't save were doing but I have used the free version for years and never had any trouble saving. I can save all my photos just fine! Awesome photo editing package for free - does all the usual things and includes a clone brush. Well worth a try.
Cons: I can't really think of any. You have to eventually register it but even that's not a con b/c they don't send junk email - I have ever gotten an email from them in 2 years!

"Create Elaborate Projects With Near Zero Learning Curve"
Pros: Anyone who wants to create elaborate, professional looking projects without taking the time to master a complex program like Adobe Photoshop Elements is bound to appreciate the near zero learning curve of FxFoto.
Cons: Has some limitations versus apps like Photoshop Elements or PhotoImpact. Still, it manages to make simple work of many seemingly complicated tasks.
