Publisher's description of FreeFixer 0.19
From Kephyr:FreeFixer is a general purpose removal tool which will help you to delete potentially unwanted software, such as adware, spyware, trojans, viruses, and rootkits. FreeFixer works by scanning a large number of locations where unwanted software has a known record of appearing or leaving traces. The scan locations include the programs that run on your computer, the programs that start when you reboot your computer, your browser's plug-ins, and your home page setting.
FreeFixer does not know which the bad files and settings are, so the scan result will contain items you want to keep and perhaps some that you want to remove. To assist you when determining if anything should be removed you can find more information at FreeFixer's Web site for each item in the scan result. You can for example see what other users chose to do in the same situation. Version 0.19 adds support to scan drivers installed on the system. It also fixes a defect which under some conditions halted the scan of the auto start shortcuts.

"Doesn't give enough information."
Pros: Free fixer has a easy to use interface. It's scans a lot of programs files, BHO's, dll's, home page settings and windows registry for spyware and adware.
Cons: Free fixer doesn't know what should be deleted. After the scan is over it's left up to you, to decide if any files,dll's or anything else should be deleted. Note if you delete legitimate files or dll's you can damage your computer.

Pros: Program did exactly what it was supposed to do. I read the directions, which were easy to understand, then point, click and it was done.
