  Version: Free YouTube to MP3 Converter 3.1.4.52

  "Works well, but unclick the boxes to avoid Ask.com crap"

  Pros: Works well, simple to use, free.

  Cons: Comes bundled with the hateful Ask.com toolbar and homepage-hijacker. You have to unclick all the EULA stuff (3 boxes) to install it without the crap. As most software won't install unless you agree to the EULA, this is sneaky and bad web manners.

  Summary: I would have given another star but for the Ask.com hateware. The first time I encountered their software, I had a bit of gnashing my teeth trying to get rid of it.

  "Quite crisp indeed..."

  Pros: I'm quite happy with the way it sounds. The other program I tried was YouTube Downloader, which was good, but the mp3 conversion had much more static compared to this one.

  Cons: For some reason, it started out having problems playing in Windows Media Player...But then it worked when I did it again...eh *shrug*

  Summary: Go for it. Try again if your player is having problems before uninstalling. Good Luck

  "Amazing piece of freeware"

  Pros: This program is better than P2P options for a few reasons:
  no chance of viruses or spoof files
  you can hear the music before you download it
  youtube provides related videos so you can find more great music easily
  downloads won't stop halfway

  Cons: the program renames the mp3's but it doesn't edit the ID3 tags
  if you specify 44100khz (some mp3 players require this) then you can only download 128kbit audio. Most of the audio on youtube is low quality, but it's too bad for the high quality stuff.

  Summary: A very good choice for people who don't want to spend a long time scour p2p for a song. It's safe, very easy to use, and FREE! I recommend it to a lot of my friends.
