Version: Free Sound Recorder 8.1.1
Pros: Works atleast
Cons: Comes with adware, though you agree to it in the terms supposedly... which i guess I never read properly
-
Version: Free Sound Recorder 8.1.1
"Good program, installs malware"
Pros: Free, good quality, easy to use program
Cons: Installs "Zwunzi" malware program even if you try to avoid.
Summary: Shame on the authors for this. It's a good program. I recommend it, but clean your computer after install.

Version: Free Sound Recorder 8.1.1
"Installs adware even if you uncheck the box"
Pros: Looks like it might be good software, but I cannot abide deceptive installers. Despite carefully reading the information provided and unchecking the box, Microsoft Security Essentials reported an adware application install at the end of the install.
Cons: Adware and deceptive installer
Summary: This could be a great application and an introduction to the Pro version. As it is, it is just another vehicle for infesting your computer if you don't have good protection.

Version: Free Sound Recorder 8.1.1
Pros: I've used a lot of recorders, most from CNET, and this one is oen of the best quality - a very inclusive recorder I've found for free. And this is actually FREE. I hate it when apps claim to be free but limit features unless you pay.
Cons: None that I can find.
Summary: This is just your basic sound file recorder. Nothing fancy, but get's the job done just fine!

Version: Free Sound Recorder 8.1.1
"People need to learn how to read"
Pros: software is excellent and reminds me of the older creative labs soundblaster recorder (which I can no longer use because I have a realtek card now). Great as a replacement and works wonderfully. Worth a shot
Cons: see my bottom line summary
Summary: PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO READ! The Zwunzi adware that many are crying about installs IF you agree to it. When you install software you are usually brought to a license agreement screen that you check a box on. In this case if these people bothere... read more >>
