You can choose the output video's compressor (such as Microsoft Video 1, MPEG-4, DivX), quality, framerate; the audio's format (such as PCM, ADPCM, MP3, OGG), and volume. Version 1.1.7 work more smoothly in Windows Vista.

Cons: What's the point of making recording software that doesn't record anything? I made numerous attempts to get the record function to work, and nothing happens.

Pros: Free, easy to use. You must run as admin in VIsta, otherwise it won't work.
Cons: There should be an option to preset the destination folder for the captured files.

"Works great, no problems at all"
Pros: I captured a bunch of screen vids in Vista, imported to Movie Maker, edited and narrated them, created movies, and published them to youtube with no problems at all. Piece of cake.
Cons: It's just the capture, no annotations or anything like that. But hey, it's free and may be sufficient for your projects.
Summary: A 5-star freebie for sure!

Pros: Very good, doesn't lag...swift...in real-time, and you can't beat free!
Cons: Good quality, but could be better, but hey, it's free.

"Found out everyones problem."
Pros: I t does record, just dont change the options at all and itll record, itll ask what you want the dimensions to be wen u press record. If you do want to change the options, or if you changed the options and it stoped working, exit out, then go back.
Cons: Well the fact that if you change the options at all, even if you dont save them, ot wont record is really stupid. And it doesnt record sound from your computor unles ur mic is up to the speaker, and i need the mic for talking in the video.
Summary: OVer, its and ok program, the only major flaw is the glich where you change the options and it stops working. For people who are not willing to check all the options, this will be ver frustrating.
