Version: Free Registry Defrag 2.3
Pros: This program spotted a potential space waste that my registry was becoming and compacted it by 11%.
Cons: The interface is ugly. It needs to be more Vista-ish. Noticed very little difference in system speed.

Pros: it works
seamless
simple
you dont have anything to lose but is not needed
Cons: compacting the registry does nothing to actually improve performance in any area of the OS.
i ran before and after benchmarks using the following

overall there really is no need, this is yet another of many...many psychosematic OS tools that make it look good on paper but actually has no real world or negligible benefit.

Pros: Included an uninstaller in the start menu
Cons: Returned the error message "Insufficient memory to run application" when analyzing the registry. Would not work.

"Straightforward program that works."
Pros: Scans registry (in several passes, taking two minutes or so) and either recommends defragmentation (completed by a restart) or no action (if fragmentation is less than 2%).
Am using on older Dell Inspiron (P-4M @ 1.8 GHz; 512 MB RAM; 60 GB HD @ 5,400 RPM & XP Pro SP2).
After several installs/uninstalls & a full defrag, this program takes care of the rest. 5/5

Pros: Improvement but...
Cons: a minor improvement. Anyway, the interface need to be improved. It looks ugly. Really ugly.
