  Pros: I used this program a lot at church for recording various things. It works very well and the recordings are very clear. It will even run on crappier computers than it says it will.

  "Not so good if you have to convert a lot of music."

  Pros: Decent encoding options, works well for the odd conversion.

  Cons: Not suitable for converting large amounts of files unless they're all in the same folder (folders must be added one by one)

  Pros: Not bloated with extra features that you don't need.

  Clean, simple, inteface that shows you everything you need to know and nothing you don't.

  Easy to find and convert your target files with an intuitive navigation and sorting system that is not constrained by tacky window frames.

  "GREAT! especially trying to make ringtones.."

  Pros: i used to try using myxertones to make free ringtones, but that site sucks, at least for verizon phones (i have an old motorola E815). so i d/l this, took my mp3s & converted them to 32kHz 16 Bit wavs, chose my 30 sec or so clip using Sound Recorder, then converted them back to 96kbps mp3s,& they stayed under 330KB. (when i sync them 2 my memory card i then have 2 send them as texts 2 myself and if they're too big i can't txt them..quite tedious but well worth it. and i don't know any other ways to do it) ALSO it is so easy & simple to use!! you can drag and drop songs & when it saves a file with the same name, it automatically adds a # at the end
