Version: Free CD to MP3 Converter 1.8 build 20051129
Pros: Interface is simple and easy. CDDB function works.
Cons: It will not extract from CD. I've updated my ASPI drivers, first to Microsoft's drivers, then to Adaptec's latest drivers, rebooting and retrying after each installation. Extracting fails at 2% on every CD I've tried. Tired of messing with this app. I'll find another that works.

"Instalaion and usage, works well on good files"
Pros: I like the fact that it has an easy to understand UI, and relatively good perofrmance.
Cons: I was trying to convert a file that was created using a MP3 player. The software failed to encode it correctly and didn't say what the problem was. This same behavior happened on all covertors I have tried. After I understood the problem and did another convertion (original format was 4bit wav) to a normal pcm file things worked well.

Version: Free CD to MP3 Converter 1.8 build 20051129
Pros: A clean small file to download.
Cons: -The program doesn't close properly without killing off the program...
-The program doesn't recognise your cd drive properly
-The program states it's free however after you have installed it they want you to buy the license for it to work!

"Small, simple program with no useless extras but still a little buggy."
Pros: Small download, free, simple interface, no useless extras.
Cons: Buggy. Refused to recognise my CD/DVD drive. Just got error messages saying I had no CD drive installed. Nothing I could do would convince it my computer had a CD ROM installed. Never had this problem with any other program, indeed, minutes later I ripped a CD with another program no problem at all.
