From Alex Sirota :FoxyTunes is an Extension for Mozilla Firefox that supports the Mozilla Suite and Mozilla Thunderbird. It allows you to control your favorite media player without leaving the browser. The controls are positioned on the status bar or one of the toolbars, so no extra space is wasted. FoxyTunes has several nice features. You can control the playback, adjust the volume, and see what's playing. Many more features are in development, among them advanced music-related searches.
Version 2.0.2 allows hiding the search button from track title panel.

Pros: This is such a creative idea. Putting the power to control your media players inside of your browser. I love this. Foxytunes gives you power that nothing else can. If you use Firefox and you don't have foxytunes you are missing out.

Pros: No more having to restore my media player from the taskbar when I want to skip to the next song in my playlist, stop, or pause for a phonecall, all this can be down within your browser with Foxytunes. You can even control volume.
With the new search functions lyrics are just a click away and I can even find out about the artist as well as search for videos of the song or artist.
You can also move it to any part of your browser that has space for it. Mine is up beside the menu bar at the top of my browser!
There are a heap of other functions that I haven't used yet and it also supports a large variety of media players.
Cons: About the only function I can think of that it doesn't have is the ability to view your playlist. It shows the current playing song only. Otherwise it's perfect.
