From Alex Sirota :FoxyTunes is an Extension for Mozilla Firefox that supports the Mozilla Suite and Mozilla Thunderbird. It allows you to control your favorite media player without leaving the browser. The controls are positioned on the status bar or one of the toolbars, so no extra space is wasted. FoxyTunes has several nice features. You can control the playback, adjust the volume, and see what's playing. Many more features are in development, among them advanced music-related searches.
Version 1.3.8 adds support for Flock, Xbox Media Center, Pandora and Pandora/Last.fm, among other tweaks and fixes.

Pros: works good for most of the main players, Quintessential Player rocks!

"Can't rate this high enough!"
Pros: Control any music player while you surf! Easy to use and free! Ten star product!
Cons: Takes up quite a bit of room on a cluttered status bar. Would be nice if it could be moved to a toolbar?

Pros: This nifty little Firefox extension allows you to pick some songs from your computer and plays it on your favorite music player! A great thing about this is that it integrates into the staus bar or toolbar (whichever you want) and the colors can be customized at the creators site. You can check what song is playing and when you close your browser (if by accident or otherwise), the music player program will stay on so that you don't accidentally stop your music. The controls are small and you won't even notice them (especially after you choose what color scheme you want from the creators website). Also, you can control the volume with the in-browser controls. Or, if you want you can close the control panel to one button (the main menu button). It also remembers your playlist and settings so you only have to open the song files once.
Cons: You have to change prefences in the music player program itself and not from the extension control panel.

Pros: this is a great MP3 player but it could be better.
Cons: there is some malware wen u download it, so after u download, scan ur PC
