Publisher's description
From Alex Sirota :FoxyTunes is an Extension for Mozilla Firefox that supports the Mozilla Suite and Mozilla Thunderbird. It allows you to control your favorite media player without leaving the browser. The controls are positioned on the status bar or one of the toolbars, so no extra space is wasted. FoxyTunes has several nice features. You can control the playback, adjust the volume, and see what's playing. Many more features are in development, among them advanced music-related searches.
New features in Version 1.2 features Yahoo Music Engine support and compatibility with Mozilla Firefox 1.5.
CNET Editor's Note: The Download Now link will prompt a local download of the Firefox extension. To install the extension directly, open the file using your Firefox browser.

Version: FoxyTunes 1.2
Pros: Great for those times where you are doing some serious research and you don't have time to file through those windows to your music player. This gives you hands on control right from your browser.

Version: FoxyTunes 1.2
"Perfect. A MUST-HAVE for hardcore browsing users with Music in their Blood"
Pros: This is an excellent Firefox Browser Extension.
It is for people who browse and listen to music at the same time. Instead of switching between browser and media player, this extension helps using the functions of the default media player on the bottom of the browser in the Grey-Area which is usualy empty. This make is perfect because it never comes in your way.
I can also see which song is playing. I can extend or minimize the area where the song title displays. If the area selected is too small, the text simply scrolls side to side like a Marguee.
All the buttons are usefull for switching songs, volume, mute, song information, show-hide song info, open-close extension, main menu.
It does not take up any space of the Firefox browser interface.
It is very convenient and makes life a bit easier.
The BEST part is, it is available FREE unlike most other developers who ask for $ for their extensions and plugins.
It installed instantly.
It did not slow down my browser or my internet connection.
Starting the browser takes the same time as it did before I installed this extension.
No Adware or Spyware. Im using McAfee Security Suite 2006 so I would know instantly if there was any spyware or adware in this extension.
I thank the maker/s of this extention for sharing this extension for FREE.

"Nice integrated WMP controller"
Pros: FoxyTunes works pretty well, and sits nicely on the bottom bar.
Cons: Takes a few seconds longer to load songs (then using WMP itself.)

Version: FoxyTunes 1.2
Pros: A perfect add-on for FireFox. Allowing Windows users to control one of over 20 media players (even offering controls to the "classic" versions of serval) it makes it easy for anyone with a huge playlist to skip around.
Cons: The problem with FoxyTunes is that the interface is so small. Sure, they make use of the space in the browser, but the small buttons are hard to see.
