Version: Forte Agent 3.0
"Not ready for prime time yet!"
Cons: While all Agent versions up to version 2 were the 'holy grail' of newsreaders, version 3 which actually was launched about 2 months ago was full of bugs so they had to hurriedly come up with a fix which is dubbed Agent version 3.1.
Still buggy: It is not backward compatible with the database built by agent version 2. Version 3 actually DESTROYED my database file / news collection that was built during 8 months!
If you insist on having it, better 'clean' install it to a new location, and then send an e-mail to tech support and ask how to import (or even to Export) the "newsrc" from the previous Agent version: the File|newsrc option is nowhere to be found!
The least of the current bugs is the inability to print Help topics: the Print function is there, but you may 'click' on it till the end of time without getting the printout!
Their tech support is impolite and inadequate too!!!
I switched back to version 2 and all's humming flawlessly!
