From NewSoftwares :Folder Lock is a fast data encryption and password protection software for Windows. It can simultaneously encrypt, lock and password protect your files, folders, drives, USB drives and even CD/DVD-RW.
Folder Lock creates encrypted storages called 'Lockers'. You can keep as many of your private files and folders in your Locker and password protect it with a single click. You can transfer, secure and backup these Lockers. Lockers are portable, you can keep them in USB Flash Drives, CD/DVD (R-RW) and notebooks or transfer them via email or upload. Lockers are even undeletable on the computer where Folder Lock is installed.
You can treat Lockers just as you would treat them in physical world. Each user can have their own Lockers. However, a single user can create multiple Lockers with different passwords as well. With Folder Lock, you can choose either to encrypt using 256-bit AES on-the-fly encryption or lock files, folders and drives anywhere on your computer. Each Locker can contain your encrypted files as well as your personal list of locked items.
Furthermore, Folder Lock's options like hack monitoring, stealth mode, data shredding, history cleaning & auto protection, portable USB autoplay feature and virtual keyboard can enhance data security beyond anything ever achieved. In addition, a locker's delete, move and rename are password protected to prevent data loss.
Version 6.1.4 comes with additional features like drag and drop for files and folders, easy to use navigation options and better GUI.
What's new in this version:
Drag and drop feature added in this version. Files of sizes more than 4 GBs can be added into the Lockers now. New explorer buttons added for easy navigation within the Locker. New blue theme based (.flk) Locker icons introduced for easy familiarity of Lockers.

Version: Folder Lock 6.1.4
Pros: Hide files on your internal drive
Cons: 1. the files are visible and can be easily exported by paragon disc manager (and probably other) software. Also files become accesible on other computer if you take your HD out and connect it on USB.
Summary: 2. this program conflicts with kaspersky antivirus.
3. The program creates windrnt.sys files which in turn crashes windows causing BSOD.
I would suggest to stay away from this software! -

"Locked my hard drive and it is not accessible any more"
Pros: Easy to lock files.
Cons: But if you lost the lock folder you cannot unlock any files and your hard drive become not accessible.
Summary: My brother accidenly locked the temporary lock folder and I cannot access the hard drive any more.
I mean not locked he accidently deleted the temporary lock folder.

"An optimum security application"
Pros: I really like its features, easy to install and functioning perfectly on my system.
Cons: Haven't faced any bug or any king of problem with its usage yet.

"Flaky install and lost files"
Pros: I like the description - it says it can do just about everything I could want a file encryption and locking program to do. Super description.
Cons: It doesn't work...I mean, it works...after you register it...but then it loses your encrypted file. It told me it could not lock files on my PC due to an incompatibility.
Summary: Install immediately said my trial period had expired - on it's first use! Program say's an imcompatibility prevents it from Locking files (WinXPProSP3)...hmmm. And finally, lost my first encrypted file - history...gonesville. If you're gonna pay ... read more >>

"Good new features,,,smart customer support"
Pros: been using it for last 6 months,,,great product with awesome features with equally smart customer support,
Cons: older version do have some bugs, but new versions are bug free with new easy to use features.
Summary: this version is great,, new options are good,encrypt feature is really very secure but I like the stealth mode feature more because no one knows that i am using any security program to protect my very important data..Folder Lock is doing a great job... read more >>
