From NewSoftwares :Folder Lock is fast file-security software that can password-protect, lock, hide, and encrypt any number of files, folders, drives, pictures, and documents in seconds. Locked files are undeletable, unrenamable, unmovable, hidden, and inaccessible. You can lock, scramble, or encrypt depending on speed and security. Folder Lock is fully portable, so you can protect your files on USB flash drives, floppies, CD-RWs, notebooks, and hard disks, and it doesn't require installation on another PC.
Folder Lock protects files in Windows, DOS, and Safe modes, even when you change your OS or boot from a disk. Folder Lock doesn't let you delete its own program folder, and it can't be uninstalled without the correct password. The program blocks coworkers, kids, peepers, hackers, viruses, spyware, networks, and all online and offline threats. Additional features include a stealth mode, hacker monitoring, the ability to erase PC tracks and shred files, autolocking, autoshutdown, and a context menu.

"Extremely useful tool with excellent capabilities"
Pros: Using Folder Lock for 3 years, the new version 5 is outstanding. I feel safer that now I can also encrypt my files, and lock them which is useful becoz I can lock photos I download from the internet and also encrypt the files that need ultra protection. I havn't seen all the features yet, but I like the stealth mode option, now no one knows that I have FL installed in my PC. That's amazing. I am also using the auto shutdown utility that comes with the software and also the shred files. I downloaded a recovery software and tested whether the shred files are really gone or not, and to my surprise I was not able to recover the original files, I tried other such tools with no luck, but this one did it perfectly. I hoped that the program costs should be less, but still I would highly recommend it to everyone. I bought the new version 6 months ago and its working fine and enjoy protect my files with this superb security software. I downloaded other security programs and compared them with FL and am now convinced that it is the best of all of them! Cheers!

"The best software you'll ever find for file protection"
Pros: This product is the best for security of your privite files (files you want no one to see) not only can you lock your files using a password you can also encript files for maximum security.What I also liked is that it is very easy to use just a few clicks and your files are secure. I immediately bought this software.I seriously recommend this to everyone, this is software you cant pass up.try it,then buy it because this is software every computer deserves.

Pros: Simple easy to use interface. Useful functionality (well it would be if it worked as promised).
Cons: Program has often left the Locker inaccessible so in theory I should have lost all my files HOWEVER... Using a Bart PE recovery CD I can see the 'hidden' locker without any bother and was able to retrieve my files. So if you are looking for a product with a decent level of security and reliability, I suggest you avoid this product and look elsewhere. I've only ever hidden my files and never encrypted them, but based upon my experiences with hidden folders I don't think I'd dare try.

"DO NOT BUT THIS. IT will destroy your files. It is junk."
Pros: IT COST $35, plus the damage it WILL CAUSE in a few months. It only worked for 2 months. Stay away. Save your money.
Cons: I LOST ALL OF MY FILES. For some reason the files in the "lockers" are no longer visible. I now have 40 gigs of blank locker folders. The file size is correct but psds, avi's, jpg's files, are now encrypted and invisible. Then I find out that Disk recovery programs can see my locked, encrypted invisible files as clear as day. I can actually see all of the files in the folders, I'm just not sure yet of how to get them all out. Locker won't protect your files. I know my files are inside because I copied the folder to another drive and the program listed everything it copied, plain as day. And when I viewed my invisible folders with DISK VIEW, I COULD SEE THE FILES listed! Locked and encrypted!!! HAHAHAHA, Jokes on me! This is protecting my files from me!! I'm not smart enough to get them out yet but, do yourself a favor, don't Lock your files up in this junk. It is not safe from (1)hackers, (2)thieves, and (3)fools. (I'm #3, #1 and #2 suckered me into buying this). Locked and encrypted....If someone wants in they will get in!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, IT'S JUNK.
