FlyZip SR 3.02 now offers ARM-native processing power for application ultra fast compression/decompression on Palm OS 5 devices. User can choose between operating modes optimized for compression speed or compressed application size. Using speed mode on Palm OS 5 device Tungsten T, the compression/decompression speed is close to 1Mbyte/sec for typical applications or even exceeds 1.7Mbyte/sec for selected applications.

Compression speed on Palm OS 5 device is close to 1Mbyte/sec for typical applications or even exceeds 1.7Mbyte/sec for selected applications. Compression speed on typical Palm OS 4.x device is about 45 ? 100 kB/sec. Now, the compression or decompression of 100Kb file takes only one tenth of second on Palm OS 5 device and 2-3 seconds on Palm OS 4 devices.
