There's a lot to like in this beta release of Flock 1.0, if you're into social networking. Built on Firefox, it's designed to make interfacing with social networking sites extremely easy.
The browser loads pages well, but the Quick Search dialog box doesn't like it when you switch search engines, it just opens them in a new browser. Most, but not all, regular Firefox extensions work, too.
Flock's social network savvy sidebar is the reason to get this browser. Nine buttons at the top of the collapsible sidebar make accessing any of your social networking or frequently used Web sites easier than Twittering what you had for breakfast. Each button either helps you get your message out faster, like dragging-and-dropping photos into Flickr, or helps you read your friends' messages quicker, like the integrated RSS feed reader.
The People button turns the sidebar into a nifty way to track all your social networking accounts. Your avatar is displayed on the left, while the right contains links for new messages and new comments. The bottom holds the links to upload new media when applicable and a hot link to open or close your media stream.
There are also hot links to most major blogging sites, and if you choose to configure it for your own self-published blog, Flock guides you through the process. Even though it's resource-heavy, Flock is the way to go if Twittering, Facebooking, or YouTubing is how you spend most of your online time.
Publisher's description
From Flock :Flock is the social browser. Building upon Flocks previous version, which was reknowned for great blogging, media and RSS, you can now monitor your friends from Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and YouTube. With Flock's wonderful new People sidebar you immediately see when your friends change their status, add media or make changes to their profile. Plus you can easily access the photos and videos your friends have posted, share web content with them with simple drag and drop actions, and communicate effortlessly with your contacts across services. While Flock is outstanding as an every day browser, its social qualities make it so much more appealing.

Version: Flock 1.0.3
"The next generation browser."
Pros: Flock is unbeatable. It is 100% compatible with everything Mozilla Firefox is because it is based on the same rendering engine.
For example, you CAN use the full version of Windows Live Hotmail with Flock because it is compatible with Firefox.
It is basically Firefox on crack, with the same potential and a pile of features that put the other browsers in the *****.
Cons: The only thing I would suggest to its team is to give it some more animation. Right now, it's equivalent to Firefox with animation, but with a little push, they could put it in a whole new league of graphical browsing!

Version: Flock 1.0.3
Pros: You /could/ call Flock a Firefox rip-off, but FF is open-source...so you be the judge.
FF is made to be tailored to the operator's use. Flock takes that to a new level for the social network user or blogger. Having a home page with your viewing history and RSS feeds is a cool feature as well.
For what it is made for, Flock is a very cool browser, but only for the social networking fanatic IMO. Solid browser nonetheless.
