CNET Editors' review
Flock is designed to streamline and emphasize how you interface with social networking sites, RSS and media feeds, and blogs. Because it's built on Firefox 3, its behavior will feel familiar and it supports most--but not all--Firefox extensions. And yes, the "awesome bar" is part of the latest version.
Flock's social network savvy sidebar is the reason to get this browser. Buttons at the top of the collapsible sidebar make accessing any of your social networking or frequently used Web sites easier than Twittering what you had for breakfast. Feature-focused, each button either helps you get your message out faster, like dragging and dropping photos into Flickr, or helps you read your friends' messages quicker, like the integrated RSS reader. The People button turns the sidebar into a nifty way to track all your social networking accounts. Your avatar is displayed on the left, while the right contains links for new messages and new comments. The bottom holds the links to upload new media when applicable and a hot link to open or close your media stream.
There are also hot links to most major blogging sites, and if you choose to configure it for your own self-published blog, Flock guides you through the process. New users will likely find it overwhelming at first, but it really does give you a more comprehensive and real-time view into your social network than you can get otherwise.

"Bad Direction, Bad decision, old code"
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
None, the old Flock2 was the right way
Cons
Going with Chome
Using old Chrome Code
Getting acquired by ZyngaSummary
The switch to Chrome was bad idea on its own however using an older code of Chrome is a Fail! I would use RockMelt or Friefox instead. The recent move to Zynga will kill this browser in the long run, making it an investment not worth making. Stick to the browser with more support and acceptance.

"Great for work and play."
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
great blog editor, love the web 2.0 integration. photo uploader works well. drag and drop web clipboard is very innovative. built in email support and the RSS feed reader is a dream
Cons
It got me hooked so now when I use FF it just seems plain.
Summary
Flock is a wonderful browser for anyone who does any blogging, has RSS feeds, uses web 2.0, uploads photos, likes to look up youtube vids or is a fan of someone elses youtube vids. Once you download it, if you actually give it a chance, you start using each feature more and more. I downloaded it just using Facebook and Myspace, then I added my youtube account, then I added my yahoo email account, then I added Digg and Flickr, I've started using the blog editor, I've used the photo uploader on multiple occasions and I've started adding in RSS feeds for various sites. Without Flock, I'd still just be surfing the web, trying to get everything done in FF. If you do anything at all that involves web 2.0, blogging, uploading photos or using youtube, give Flock a shot. If there are any problems with the download when you get it, go to www.flock.com/forums . The community there is excellent at helping to diagnose and solve problems. They'll even take suggestions for new features. Just try that with IE or FF.

"Loves it :D, Version 2.0.2"
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
Definitely does what it is suppose to do which makes it a great one stop shop for Social browsing. It is very subtle but fun. Even better the developers released it for the PC, MAC, and Linux. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Cons
I have not found anything wrong with it at the moment but I have only been reviewing for one day on my MAC. I will try running on my PC for a while and we will see how it goes.
Summary
Let me start by saying that I use several browsers for my iMac at home and PC's at work. The browsers that I have tried span from Safari, IE 7, Opera, and Mozilla (MAC & PC). The main browsers that I use are Safari and Mozilla (both OS's). I use Safari for secure browsing and I use Mozilla for surfing. Mozilla has all of the great add-on that I liked using for Gmail, Facebook, and Get Things Done. I am sorry to say but after trying Flock for one day I am pleased. I am sorry Mozilla but I have a new girl now and her name is Flock. She is pretty to look at and it well put together. She has everything I need in a browser. :D

"Godd but with flaws"
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
fast, looks good. Can search youtube, other networking sites without opening page - great!
Cons
can't use the Ral Player plug in to downlaod video.
Summary
installed flock because I found the slow page loading of IE and, frankly, Firefox frustrating. I even tried Safari, but found Flock to be fast and good to use. you can close the sidebars and drop downs, so you can see web pages without distraction [which is useful if you have a small screen like I have. Problem is that real player installs a download plug in on both IE and Firefox, but not on Flock. If i want to downlaod a youtube [or other] video, I have to open up IE or firefox. When flock fix this, I'll use it, but not before.

"No buttons work and makes my computer run very slow."
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
Nothing good
Cons
Nothing works
Summary
No buttons work on this version for me. It slowed my computer down

"Just TOO much."
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
Nice social integration, a lot of options and customization ability. Doesn't seem too bad as far as page renders go.
Cons
It is a nice idea, but I find it is TOO much. To many options, too much social all up in my face. I don't want half my screen taken up by side bars and drop downs that don't do anything I really need.
Summary
If social networking is your thing this is the browser for you, but it has to REALLY be your thing. I can't give up that much page screen space for things I don't really need. Bottom bottom line... I'll stick with Chrome.

"Firefox with extras!! Just try it!!"
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
Totally a social browser. You can see your friends status on both Facebook and MySpace without having to open the windows. It also alerts you if you have any new messages or comments. Tell you when you get email.
Cons
The Facebook and MySpace alerts could be faster. It could take a couple of minutes for it to tell you.
Summary
It has the simplicity of Firefox and is pretty reliable.

"Awesome browser"
Version: Flock Browser 2.0
Pros
Fast, has all the social networking accounts easily accessible, uploading photos is a cinch. Tabbed browser and lots of little cool features. Easy to learn.
Cons
Nothing major. Would like to see thumbnails on tabs like Opera has.
No feed deletion ability. Memory usage can skyrocket to 300K. Importing bookmarks from Opera stalls. Favorites could use a bit of tweaking.Summary
I love this browser! I have been a dedicated Opera fan for several years but it is nice to not have to open a window in FF or IE when compatibility issues arise. Most of my FF extensions work. I have been using this for a few months and have never had it crash! All in all a great browser! I look forward to see the evolution of Flock.
