FlashLynx is powerful, yet easy to use, online Google, MySpace and YouTube video downloader which allows you to select the domain region and even category. You can then preview the video before choosing to download. The program saves the video on your hard drive as an FLV file and also allows you to convert the video file to AVI, WMV, MP4, and many other formats.

It also allows you to add your own specific URL to download videos from. If you have searched a specific topic on a domain you can add the URL of the page displaying the results to FlashLynx which will then allow you to preview and download video content.

What's new in this version:

Version 1.14 is an update to match Youtube's web engine changes (optimized by size).

Version: FlashLynx YouTube Video Downloader 1.14

"This Programs a Nightmare come to life."

Pros: None. There's nothing positive to say about it.

Cons: Warning: Highly suspicious program. (No uninstaller provided.)
This programs like a (virtual) disease - You can't get rid of it.
This program repeatedly tries to seize control of sensitive (key computer applications) areas of the operating system.

Summary: In conclusion: I strongly recommend staying as far away as possible from this thing.
I would have liked to provide a rating of less than one - However, that option was not provided by cnet.
