"Great but abit unstable"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1.2
Pros
It is easy to create tutorials and has some good editing cpabilities
Cons
It can be a bit restrictive at times as well as a tad unstable (for no apparent reason) on the odd occasion.
Can't transport slides from one presentation to another, which can be frustrating.

"Easy to use, great functionality, not too pricey"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1175
Pros
I used this to create several Flash-based tours for my web site. I found it very stable and easy to use; it also has all the features I needed to create the tours. I'd recommend highly. (As a plus, it's also less expensive than a lot of the other products in this area.)

"Bulky, slow"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1136
Pros
I don't mind to experience a different overall feel of a program, and Flash Demo Builder has it.
The only problem I had with it is that is very, veeeeery slow, the mouse movement for example is jerky when capturing and editing slides (on a P4 3GHz w. 1Gb Ram). It gets even worse when during capturing the computer slows down drastically when clicking fast or dragging objects on screen.
Another issue is the resulting file size. Again, big compared to competitors. This aspect is what matters most (at least for me), bandwidth is not for free :-)
A 19 slide (clicks) movie with one window drag at 800x600 pixels = almost 1Mb.
The interface is toy like, first thing I did after doing some things was to find a way to change the skin of the application. Sorry, you have to live with it if you like it or not.
Here I come with some sensitive comments.
Program icon. Let's get serious. To copy the flash's "F" and dreamweaver's "D" symbol letters, straight them up is not really... creative.
I don't know much about copyright issues but still... And the name Flash Demo Builder sounds like another application which does the same thing but is older on the market. I am not impressed at all...
Cons
Big output file size, poor overall performance, it makes you think about buying a faster computer (not the case)...

"Good product with a great support..."
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1136
Pros
IÒ¢¬"ve downloaded this product and having a problem finding the feature to do an automatic capturing for assessment. I contacted the support and they come back within 10 minutes with an answer. I donÒ¢¬"t know what else to say but a good support is very important for me.
The feature that I like the most in Flash Demo Builder is the capability to insert so many different objects like callout, text, image, clipart, highlight, shapes, sound, video and a background music. I also can insert an assessment object such as multiple choices and short answer.

"I love it! Kudos to the developer"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1136
Pros
I bought this software a few weeks ago and so far it has cut my time to build a desktop demonstration by half.
I love the auto captioning and automatic mouse cursor generation. Ability to select a different capturing mode to produce a training, assessment online comes in very handy. Most of the time I don"t really need to spend more time editing the capture results as it correctly place the click boxes, right and wrong comment and instruction.

"This software does the job very well"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1136
Pros
Fast, easy to use, lots of publishing flexibility.
Comes with a collection of clipart and customizable navigation panel.
Ability to import a video and Powerpoint slides.
A very robust and strong capturing feature which break down the capture results as a slides where you can edit further.
Cons
I wish there are more clipart

"I wish I found this software years ago"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1136
Pros
This software is very fast and support many inputs. I can import a Powerpoint file and images as slides. I can then mix and match them with a desktop recording.
I bought camtasia studio last year and have been using it until I found Flash Demo Builder last week. With Flash Demo Builder I can edit the capture results, modify a specific section, add or replace an instruction tips and mouse movement. I can do all that without the need to re-capture my demonstration which for me it saves a lot of time.
Cons
I can't think of any.

"Lots of feature, reliable and fast!"
Version: Flash Demo Builder 1 build 1136
Pros
If you are looking for a tools to build a demo and presentation... Look no further!
This software blows competitor above the water.
A very powerful capturing feature.
It offers both manual and automatic capturing mode (which often missing in competitor products). Automatic mode automatically insert an instruction tips and mouse click after the capturing process is done. This saves a lot of time. I am a professional e-learning educator so I know how painful it is to insert them manually.
One very important feature that is very rare to find in this type of products is a full motion recording and Flash Demo Builder does it!. Basically what it does is to record a drag and drop, dragging, drawing, and keyboard typing as a video stream so the demo play it exactly like the way it is performed on screen.
I build a demo and quiz for a living and I am very impressed with what it offer so far. I can add an interactive quiz like a multiple choice, textbox and others with ease.
Strong publishing feature sets.
AFAIK, it has the most complete publishing tools I"ve ever seen. I can publish to a Macromedia Flash file, website, FTP site, executable, CD, DVD, Word and email. I can even burn the presentation into a DVD movie. This is the feature I always wanted but I never find it anywhere until today. I can now distribute my presentation to my client to watch on TV using a standard DVD player.
For $99 it offers a way more features and much faster and easier to use than other products in this category which normally cost above $250.
I can go on and on but my last suggestion is to give this software a try and I am sure you will not regret it.
