Quickly and easily grab screenshots and edit them with this handy Internet Explorer add-on. Although it's lacking a few of the niceties included with the version for Firefox, this freeware is still impressive.
FireShot for Internet Explorer places a nondescript button on your toolbar. The button contains a drop-down menu with options for editing and capturing screenshots, and accessing your preferences. But unlike the Firefox version, it does not include a status bar shortcut icon, which was nice for one-click access to buttons for editing, uploading, copying, and e-mailing captured screenshots. During our first go-around, we clicked the toolbar button. A nag screen harassed us each time we clicked a command. Our screenshot instantly appeared in a separate window that contained options for uploading, exporting, and saving the image. We especially loved the options for cropping, adding text, and drawing on the screenshot. Each editing feature was very easy to understand and to operate.
The editor and style and placement settings under the Options menu took a little time to figure out, and a Help file would have definitely been a nice addition. Still, we found this to be a very capable program, suitable for intermediate users and above. If you're a blogger, this free tool is a great way to add customized screenshots to your posts.

Version: FireShot for Internet Explorer 0.78
"Horrible software. Can't uninstall."
Pros: Can't think of anything good.
Cons: I downloaded this for Firefox and it prompted me to download for IE as well. It ruined my IE settings including proxy and LAN settings. There is no way to uninstall it. Had to manually install IE and redo the proxy settings.
Summary: If you want a good capture tool, use SnagIt. I don't know if there is a free version or not. I've been using it for a while now and I have had no problems with it.

Version: FireShot for Internet Explorer 0.78
"Love Firefox Version; Hate IE Version"
Pros: Once a default action is set just click the Fireshot toolbar button and it will perform the default action (except save).
Cons: Will not save any web pages even though it says it has.
Summary: I love the Firefox version but hate this IE version.
With the Firefox version I had no problems with saving a web page; just capture and save. With the IE version no matter what I do when the program says it's saved it's not.
