FireFTP gives you the power of a top-notch FTP client from within your Firefox browser. It can handle multiple accounts and remember different logins, passwords, and connection settings for each. It supports authenticated TSL, authenticated SSL, and implicit SSL for secure transfers, drag and drop, and CHMOD changes. The plug-in works across platforms, lets users import and export account settings, and supports directory comparisons and synchronization, time-stamp syncing, file hashes, and auto-reconnect.
Setting up the program is as easy as using it. It's accessible either from Tools in the menu bar or you can add a FireFTP icon to the toolbar via customization options. You can also set the program to open in a new window or in a new tab, and it ran conflict-free with other major Firefox extensions like Tab Mix Plus, AdBlock Plus, or FoxyTunes.
Most surprisingly, it didn't cause any system sluggishness or freezes, nor did it instigate a massive memory leak of the kind that Firefox has become known for. There are, however, a few drawbacks. Windows Vista support has been spotty, and because of Firefox limitations, the app can't transfer files larger than 4GB, nor can it access network folders. Proxy support works for some, but not others. Despite these problems, the plug-in was stable, easy to use, and provided enough advanced features to make it worth coming back to.

Version: FireFTP 0.99
Pros: I only have three sites to work on so I don't need all of the extras that so many FTP programs have. What I do need is to be able to connect with SFTP and change file permissions, and this client works perfectly for my needs, which I can say for a few of the programs that aren't free. It's also very easy to use; I figured it out in literally under a minute. It's quite intuitive.

Version: FireFTP 0.99
"Everything I need in an FTP Client."
Pros: For a free program it is just wonderful. From what I can see, FireFTP has most features that you find in paid programs.
-
Version: FireFTP 0.99
"Fast, easy, no hassle FTP transfers"
Pros: Familiar folder/file arrangement of both local and remote directories. Drag & drop from one to the other.
Cons: It would be better if it would remember FTP password for connection or flag the password blank so Foxfire could pick it up and remember it.
Summary: Straightforward directory-to-directory drag & drop file transfers.
