The FileBox utility allows to transfer PC files of different extension to the Palm for storing with further transferring all files of the Palm FileBox application back to the PC. In order to save the memory the Palm contains the option for compressing the files transported to the Palm. The FileBox Manager installed on PC helps select, compress, and prepare the files chosen by you for transferring to the Palm. The FileBox Manager allows to determine the directory for transferring the files to the Palm and for receiving the files transferred from the Palm.

"Useful; a little slow on my SD Card"

Summary
It just what I was searching for. I bought a 64 MB SD Card to my Palm m500 and now I can use it as a portable drive. Just few thing that can be improved: i) it don't support long file names (26 chars max); ii) It's a little slow when I upload files to my SD Card. It takes 70 seconds to transfer each MB of info. iii) when it is finishing the download to my PC, it *completely* blocks my Windows 98 OS for a few minutes. Anyway it works for me as I need.
