From SoftDD Software :

Break up large files for copying to disk or sending via e-mail, as anyone can recreate the original file. When you split your files, a small program is created in the same folder and can be distributed with your split files, which will allow anyone to recreate the original file, with the original name. You also can print any folder contents, keep track of total files split, and view your available RAM memory. Version 3.38 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
