This basic tool can restore deleted or lost files such as digital photos or Flash memory. The interface is clear, but not very handy for restoring multiple files. It's difficult to pick up several files, and you need to restart the program to perform a new scan. Also, the program doesn't restore the folder structure if the full path is not known, so you will have to sort them by yourself. Nevertheless, File Rescue Plus is capable of everything the average person needs, including previewing images to restore. The wizard offers remedies for deleted files, files lost after formatting a disk, and deleted images. The program uses little memory when working in the background. File Rescue Plus would be a reasonable choice for home users if the price were more in line with its functionality.

File-Rescue Plus is a way to recover files that have been lost or deleted from your computer. It can bring back files that would otherwise be lost forever, including files emptied from the recycle bin, deleted by application programs, or lost with removed directories or through a quick format on a drive. After the program scans, it shows you all the deleted files it finds and might be able to rescue, along with the condition of the file and chances of recovery. You can even restore individual files to the same directories from which they were deleted. File Rescue Plus can recover files from all types of media such as hard disks, CD Drives, digital cameras, floppy disks, Jaz drives, Zip drives, Flash media, and SmartMedia cards.
